Essential Duties and Responsibilities


• Directs all aspects of services that allow the organizations to operate efficiently.


• Ensures that all project budgets, personnel, and activities meet DOS standards and are in accordance with the project performance work statements requirements.


• Provides the DOS any requested program or contract information, and communicates regularly with the DOS program office to discuss any anticipated challenges or concerns.


• Conducts assessments and engages with a wide-range of stakeholders, including U.S. government agencies and offices, regional and multilateral officials, other international donors, local leaders, academics, NGOs, in order to identify critical needs of the programs.


• Collects, tracks and maintains all information for the programs awarded to the contractor.


• Develops frameworks and assessment tools to enhance the overall monitoring and evaluation of projects; travels periodically to Africa to conduct assessments; monitors and reviews programs; and meets with U.S. Embassy representatives and other international partners to ensure that projects are meeting their objectives and that project personnel are performing up to DOD standards.


• Researches and provides updates on global best practices and initiatives related to strengthening security sector assistance.


Required Experience


• Holds a Master’s degree and has at least 5 years of experience managing a multi-million-dollar program.


• Military experience at O-4, O-5 level, or higher is preferred.


• Understanding of the political, geographical, economic and social dynamics across sub-Saharan Africa, and have experience operating in areas with limited life cycle support and in hardship conditions.




• Holds a Master’s degree and has at least 5 years of experience managing a multi-million-dollar program.


• Must be able to pass a background clearance
