In late 2015, RELYANT was awarded a $14.5M MILCON contract in support of NAVFAC Pacific for the design and construction of ground support equipment (GSE) shops at North Ramp, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The work under the contract includes the design-build construction of a one-story high bay composite facility with a ground support equipment maintenance shop, a ground support equipment holding shed, an aviation armament shop, and an aviation life support systems shop. Work is performed in Yigo, Guam, and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
RELYANT is currently providing electrician services to sustain electrical requirements for ongoing electrical repair, modifications and maintenance of existing facilities across Bagram Airfield (BAF), Afghanistan. RELYANT has provided all personnel, equipment, tools, interpreters and supervision necessary in order to support the mission of the DOD at BAF, as they continue to undergo infrastructure renovations and upgrades on base. RELYANT’s staff includes both licensed Journeyman Electricians as well as local skilled electrical technicians to provide the electrical support services on BAF on an as needed, emergency response type action.
RELYANT performed fast track Design-Build services to design and construct 17,500 SF, 100 person self-contained, secured Life Support Compound for a USG client. This Life Support Compound consisted of new construction of a warehouse, pallet area, morale, recreation and welfare (MWR) building, gymnasium, dining facility and an administrative building. The project also included the modernization of a troop housing facility to support up to 100 personnel. The project was completed in less than 180 days from contract award.
The project scope included demolition of existing structures, site survey, MEC clearance, site preparation for new construction, design and full construction of the new facilities, and repair and modernization of existing facilities. Sustainable elements and efforts included construction waste management, materials reuse, recycled and low maintenance materials incorporated to the maximum extent and the use of local and regional suppliers.
As a subcontractor, RELYANT completed containment and concrete renovations and repairs of fuel systems to include the repair of cracks and spalls in ground product offload containment systems and vehicle service station containment areas, as well as construction of parking lots, driveway entrances, and various containment and slab construction repairs and replacements.
RELYANT provided the complete deconstruction, demolition, cleanup, and restoration of multiple sites to the former state that existed prior to military occupation on KAF in Afghanistan. This work included the provision of all engineering, labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, containers, personal protective equipment, transportation, fuel, communication, and all other supplies and services needed to complete the work required.
RELYANT was the prime contractor for this design-build project that included full turn-key construction of a 9,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEB), designed to function as a Military Mail Terminal. RELYANT performed the construction of the mail facility, which included demolition, site preparation, concrete construction, metal construction, architectural design and CAD, all mechanical, plumbing and electrical works, lighting, fire protection and communications systems. The PEB facility was constructed of high grade, cold-formed steel manufactured by RELYANT using our FRAMECAD FrameMaster machine.
RELYANT was the prime contractor for this design-build project that involved the turn-key construction of an 8,000 square foot dining facility and commercial kitchen. RELYANT developed the full design package, including all civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural design for this $690,000 pre-engineered facility. The facility was designed to prepare and serve up to 16,000 meals per day to up to 6,000 personnel, and consisted of a 2,500 square foot commercial kitchen, two dining rooms (1,000 square feet and 3,500 square feet), bathrooms, vestibules, and service and food storage areas (1,000 square feet).
After mobilizing in under 30 days, RELYANT completed (100% construction) a design-build project that involved the simultaneous construction of four light steel frame warehouse complexes at Bagram Airfield, totaling approximately 53,800 square feet. RELYANT was simultaneously awarded three contracts due to our value engineering approach and customer satisfaction of our original design, and was awarded a fourth contract for the final warehouse later the same month.
RELYANT provided the US Forces in Afghanistan with Relocatable Modular Buildings (RLBs). Individual RLB modules were manufactured to the Government’s standard design, for ease of relocation, and reconfigured for new missions. Mixing and matching of components allowed RLB facility size and capability to be tailored to each location’s specific use requirements. RELYANT completed 6 Task Orders under this MATOC.
As Prime Contractor awarded 22 task orders, RELYANT sprayed polyurethane spray foam insulation to temporary structures, canvas, and thin skin facilities throughout Afghanistan for a DOD IDIQ valued at over $20M. Our foam insulation solution provided soldiers comfort during extreme hot and/or cold weather while providing significant savings in fuel for the Government. It reduced fuel transportation costs to various locations in one of the most remote countries of the world, and reduced the overall energy consumption of the US Military. RELYANT provided all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment required to facilitate the project, operating multiple teams simultaneously in Afghanistan and spraying up to 40,000 square feet of foam per day.
RELYANT was recently named an awardee of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City District FY16 Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Construction MATOC. With a ceiling value of $95M, the contract work will consist of design-build and design-bid-build construction work for the military in support of the northwestern division Kansas City District through April 2020.
RELYANT has been named to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for the renovation/modernization and repair/maintenance projects, at various Government shore-based facilities in Guam. RELYANT was awarded and has completed the initial Task Order in support of this contract for the installation of typhoon shutters. RELYANT provided all labor, material, transportation, supervision, equipment and other incidental work required to install window shutters for 15 housing units at Naval Base Guam Apra Harbor. RELYANT complete all work to the client’s full satisfaction and received a ‘Good Catch’ award from NAVFAC during the execution of this project.
RELYANT has been named to an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for the provision of concrete at Bagram Airfield (BAF). RELYANT has since been awarded and has completed numerous Task Orders in support of the contract, to the client’s complete satisfaction. Contributing to RELYANT’s success on this contract has been our concrete batch plant at BAF. RELYANT currently operates the only US Army Corps of Engineers -approved concrete batch plant at BAF.
